A Sporting Chance

Grants up to £500 in Hull, East Riding, North & North East Lincolnshire

A Sporting Chance grants are back to provide up to £500 for groups involved with sports and health physical activity to provide support during Covid-19 and beyond

We recognise the challenges that many grass roots sports groups have experienced during the pandemic. In addition to the funding, we will be developing a toolkit based on the needs outlined in your application, as well as your responses to a questionnaire. The aim of the toolkit is to ensure that sports groups in the Humber region have the resources they need, to hit the ground running and thrive in a post Coronavirus world.

To be considered for a grant award you need to:

·         Register as an organisation and show your activity on Beecan

·         Be a group whose primary activity is sports or healthy physical activity

·         Be based, and provide activities in North & North East Lincolnshire, East Riding or Hull

·         Explain the impact of your group

·         Describe your challenges and how this funding will help

·         Let us know the age range and number of people you support

·         Respond to our questionnaire to help us develop the toolkit

In ideal circumstances, before any grant is awarded, applicant organisations should be able to provide details of their constitution, safeguarding policy, and official group bank account. If you require guidance with this, please make direct contact with us.

 

HIGHFIVER East Riding and HIGHFIVER HULL

Grants up to £500 in Hull and East Riding – Available Now

 

HIGHFIVER Grants have been designed in response to the current Coronavirus challenges.

The funding has been kindly provided by the local CCG for Hull and East Riding to support the unique ways that you can help improve the health in our communities.

 

The HIGHFIVER Grants have been designed in response to the current Coronavirus challenges. We recognise that lots of micro-groups are delivering outstanding work and are finding it hard to access resources. With this in mind, this fund is particularly focused on distributing small grants (of up to £500) to groups new and old who want to support the health and wellbeing of the people in their community.  

The funding has been kindly provided by the local CCG for Hull and East Riding to support the unique ways that you can help improve the health in our communities. 

As part of our commitment to helping charitable organisations thrive, we will be offering continued support to help you achieve your goals, with a particular focus on supporting you with governance and safeguarding.  

Grant Aims: 

·         A healthier and active community

·         Improved self-management of health

·         A connected community ready to help others

·         Be based, and provide activities in East Riding or Hull

·         Identify which grant aims your request supports

·         Describe your idea and how you know a difference will be made

·         Demonstrate how you have identified this need

·         Explain how many people will be supported

In ideal circumstances, before any grant is awarded, applicant organisations should be able to provide details of their constitution, safeguarding policy, and official group bank account. If you require guidance on this, please make direct contact with us. if appropriate we will connect you with a local voluntary group to help facilitate the funding.

 

 

Help for Health – East Riding Recovery and Resilience Fund

Grants up to £5000 in East Riding – Available Now

 

This COVID 19 Recovery and Resilience Fund was established in Partnership with HEY Smile Foundation and East Riding of Yorkshire Council. This new fund opened 1st July is in place to help stimulate recovery and help Charitable organisations in East Yorkshire specifically.

The committee for this fund are specifically looking for organisations that have engaged and understand the needs of their community within the current crisis, and now require financial support to put in place resources to respond accordingly.  

All applications for grants from this specific East Riding fund will be assessed against criteria established with our partner HEY Smile Foundation who will undertake all necessary due diligence on the charity or community organisation.

Three key areas have been identified by the partnership 

Access to sustainable food sources 
Access to medication and health services 
Support in alleviating isolation   
To be considered for a grant award you need to:

·         Be registered as an organisation and show your activity on Beecan

·         Be based, and provide activities in East Riding or Hull

·         Identify which grant aims your request supports
